“I see my fellow activists “fight the system” from a place of unacknowledged pain rather than creating sustainable transformation within themselves and their communities, in truth this was my path till I discovered Compassionate Inquiry and Beyond addiction. This collaboration between Recovering Justice and Compassionate Inquiry allows individuals to access professional and compassionate healing so they don’t burn or rage out in their activist roles. The work of Dr. Gabor Mate is widely known and hugely respected in these communities, knowing that this training was developed by him gives a unique trust and confidence to the people who would access this”
Fiona Gilberston, Founder Recovering Justice
Recovering Justice X Compassionate Inquiry
Often the most in need of compassionate inquiry are the least served due to funding issues. Recovering Justice (RJ) works with people on the frontlines of the drug war, mothers who have lost their children through forced adoption, parents who have lost children to drug poisoning or state violence. People who have been wrongfully incarcerated or come from marginalized and stigmatized populations such as IV drug users and sex workers. RJ works with communities creating and developing diverse networks supporting and developing community activists and leaders. Through their community capacity building, RJ has links and partnerships with grassroots projects across the world.
The part that is often missing and we believe is vital is personal healing.
